Mosquito Barrier

Facts

  • Every year more than 65 millions birds are killed from pesticides, while spraying poisons to
        kill adult mosquitoes.
  • A mosquito can smell the carbon dioxide you exhale from 70 to 95 feet away.
  • Only the female bites, for blood, to fertilize her eggs.
  • Mosquitoes suck juices from plants like grass, tree leaves, shrubs, etc., in order to survive.

Mosquito Barrier® actually kills mosquitoes. How is this possible? The explanation is that the natural sulfurs that appear in garlic juice are the cause for the mosquitoes dying. The sulfurs are lethal to mosquitoes, but not to humans nor dogs or cats or horses or other animals. When the mosquito makes contact with the sprayed garlic juice, their bodies begin to absorb it, thus, the sulfurs are ingested and the mosquitoes begin to die. Some die immediately upon contact, some die within 12 hours. The results of spraying the garlic juice is controlling the mosquitoes, not just repelling them, but killing them too. The effects from spraying Mosquito Barrier® are paralysis, death, and confusion or 'survival response', which means the mosquito flees from the garlic (sulfurs), because he doesn't like it. They then look for a friendlier environment. Since Mosquito Barrier® does not dissipate, as do chemicals, it is absorbed into the plant life (systemic), allowing it to work until the next needed spraying.

    FAQs

Is Mosquito Barrier safe for my children and pets?
Yes! There are no poisons or harmful chemicals in Mosquito Barrier. Just 99.3% garlic juice with some food grade preservatives added.

Does Mosquito Barrier repel Fleas, Ticks and Chiggers?
Yes. If sprayed liberally on grass and plants in yard. It does not repel them by spraying the dog or cat. Spray the yard completely. Be sure to spray sides of buildings, tree trunks and fence posts also when spraying for ticks. If there is a heavy infestation, repeat in 5 days and every two weeks thereafter. That should be sufficient to keep the insects out of the yard.

Does Mosquito Barrier repel Geese, Deer and Rabbits?
Yes. The amount of Mosquito Barrier required to repel them is at least twice the amount that is normally used for mosquitoes. Ask us about it. We have directions just for that.

Can I keep mosquitoes off my child by spraying her?
No. Mosquito Barrier does not work when sprayed on people to keep insects away. Mosquito Barrier only removes feeding areas. See explanation next to Mosquito photo above.

If I don't use all the Mosquito Barrier, will it stay good until next year?
Put the lid on tight, store it in a cool place and it should last for about two years. In a refrigerator at 40 degrees, it will last several years.

Can I use a hose-end garden sprayer to put the Mosquito Barrier in and spray my yard?
Yes. It's not as precise as a canister sprayer, but it works OK. Most of these hose-end containers hold a quart and dilute about thirty parts water to one part Mosquito Barrier and the droplet size is large. If you choose to use it, put the entire quart of Mosquito Barrier into the container (do not dilute it beforehand) and spray away.

I have a 2-gallon canister sprayer. What would be my formula of Mosquito Barrier and water?
During normal periods of mosquito infestation use 2 ounces of Mosquito Barrier for each gallon of liquid. For 2 gallons of total spray put in 4 ounces of Mosquito Barrier. When the mosquito infestation is heavier than normal, double the amount of Mosquito Barrier recommended.

Do I need to add anything else besides water to the Mosquito Barrier before spraying?
No. Mixing one part of Mosquito Barrier with 99 parts of water and spraying everything achieve excellent results.

How does a film of oil on water kill mosquito larvae?
The natural oils found in Mosquito Barrier mixed with vegetable oil will clog the snorkel that the larvae use to breathe. (In this case add the same amount of vegetable oil (canola, corn, or soy bean oil) as Mosquito Barrier).

    Garlic Barrier

    Facts

  • Garlic Barrier is a very strong garlic juice.
  • It imparts no garlic taste on crops or plants that are sprayed.
  • Is listed by OMRI as suitable for organic farm use.
  • Garlic Barrier masks the odor of fruit "sugaring" (ripening).
  • Garlic Barrier repels a large number of insects that affect farms crops. (See Benefits)

Garlic Barrier® has been America's best selling all natural insect repellent for farm and garden plants since 1990. Used on conventional farms as well as organic farms and orchards. In many ways, Garlic Barrier acts as an 'insurance policy' for farmers near residential areas, no lawsuits from wind drifting chemicals into populated areas and causing medical problems among the residents. Garlic Barrier is environmentally friendly, as it contains no chemicals. Garlic Barrier can be applied from the air or on the ground. Normally only four (4) applications per growing season are necessary, starting with the first application early in the season. The amount of Garlic Barrier used with each application is one gallon. Depending on what is being sprayed, that gallon will cover at least 5 acres and as much as 20 acres.

Garlic Barrier will eliminate Mosquitoes, Ticks, Fleas, Deer, Geese, Rabbits and a variety of 40 and more insects species. Birds can be repelled from various trees also. (It does not repel birds from trees that they use for roosting). Birds smell that the fruit is ripening and attack the fruit, causing severe damage to the fruit. Garlic Barrier "masks" the ripening odor of the fruit, whereas, the birds cannot smell fruit beginning to ripen (sugar).

Garlic Barrier contains natural sulfurs, which is responsible for its repellent activity. Garlic Barrier should be mixed with a sticker (Canola Oil, Soybean Oil, Cotton Seed Oil or other vegetable oils) to help keep the garlic on the plant leaf until it is absorbed into the plant. Just spray on grass, shrubs, lawns, vegetables gardens, ornamental & fruit trees and all crops. Garlic Barrier also works well when sprayed in the furrow on top of the seed as it is planted, or in the furrow with seedlings. Doing this repels nematodes and other underground creatures harmful to the plants.

    FAQs

Does Garlic Barrier repel Fleas, Ticks and Chiggers?

Is Garlic Barrier systemic within the plant?
    Yes.

Will it keep ants and cockroaches out of my house?
We seriously doubt it. It is meant to be sprayed on live plants to keep insects off, spraying on dirt, wood, concrete, etc. will not work

Can I keep mosquitoes off my child by spraying her?
No. Garlic Barrier does not work when sprayed on people to keep insects away. Garlic Barrier only removes feeding areas.

Will my blueberries taste like garlic after I use it?
No. Think about it. When you sprayed insecticides on your berries, did the berries taste like pesticides? No. They won't after spraying Garlic Barrier either. No garlic flavor is ever imparted to that which is sprayed with Garlic Barrier

If I don't use all the Garlic Barrier, will it stay good until next year?
Put the lid on tight, store it in a cool place and it should last for about two years. In a refrigerator at 40 degrees, it will last several years.

What if I don't know if my spray mixture has a pH of 5.5-6 and don't know if I have hard water. What can I do?
Call your County Agricultural Agent. They are there to help local farmers and every county has one. If you are near an agricultural college or State college, call them and present your problem. They will either help you or direct you where to get help. Often enough, your nearby farm chemical dealer can help or get help for you also.

Can we cook with Garlic Barrier or take it as we do our garlic pills?
No. It is not food grade and is not made in conditions considered safe for foodstuffs.

Can I use a hose-end garden sprayer to put the Garlic Barrier in and spray my yard?
Yes. Not as precise as a canister sprayer, but it works OK. Most of these hose-end containers hold a quart and dilute about thirty parts water to one part Garlic Barrier and the droplet size is large. If you choose to use it, put the entire quart of Garlic Barrier into the container (do not dilute it beforehand) and spray away. If you are using pure Garlic Barrier (100% potency) put in 11 ounces Garlic Barrier then fill with water and spray.

I have a 2-gallon canister sprayer. What would be my formula of Garlic Barrier and water?
Put in 2 ounces of Garlic Barrier for each gallon of liquid. For 2 gallons of total spray put in 4 ounces of Garlic Barrier.

Can I make the Garlic Barrier spray too strong?
We have made 10% solutions and sprayed virtually all our plants, trees and flowers and found no harm at all, except to kill aphids on the spot. You should use the product according to the label directions.

What types of oil can I use with Garlic Barrier?
You don't need to use any oil with pints or quarts. We use an oily variety of garlic sufficient to avoid the need for a sticker. If you bought a gallon of Garlic Barrier you may use: Canola oil, Cotton seed oil, Soy Bean Oil, or as last resort, any vegetable oil. Use same amount of oil as Garlic Barrier, or 2 to 3 ounces per gallon of total spray.

I have fungus gnats in my house plants. There are thousands of them. Does this work on them?
When you water your plants, put 4 ounces Garlic Barrier in each gallon of water in your watering can and stir well. Water or spray with this mixture down around the base of the plant to the point of saturation and do it regularly. We have had excellent luck and had no fungus gnats since doing this.

Why are some other garlic products cheaper than yours?
There may be other liquid garlic products out there. One that we know of is selling a cheaper version of liquid garlic but it only has 20% garlic extract (this means their product is 80% water)! Our Garlic Barrier is 99.3% pure garlic extract, not a watered down product.
